Bled is a town and a popular tourist destination on the east side of Lake Bled. The town itself is small and picteresque with many of the sights in walking distance. The most iconic among them are of course the lake and the island with its baroque church, where you can walk the famous 99 steps and ring the wishing bell. Another must-see attraction is the Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia. And, of course, you cannot leave Bled without trying the famous Bled cream cake, or 'blejska kremšnita'.
